A Massachusetts firefighter was hurt battling a blaze in a three-story apartment building that displaced 36 people.
The three-alarm fire broke out Saturday in Lowell, WBZ-AM reports. All the residents were able to escape building, and the Red Cross was helping those who were displaced.
The firefighter hurt during the fire only suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene, according to WBZ-TV. No civilians were hurt in the blaze, and residents were allowed to salvage personal items from the building.
“Companies worked hard, they did a great job knocking this fire down, but at the beginning, it was pretty tough,” Deputy Fire Chief Bob Destrempe told WBZ-TV.
